Categories structure your storefront and help your customers find the right products.
Manage categories
- OpenCatalog → Categories.
- Add a name, description and image if necessary.
- Organize the display order (drag and drop depending on the interface).
- On each product sheet, check one or more categories.
Best practices
- Keep a tree structuresimple(few levels).
- Avoid empty categories on the public store.
- Use customer-clear names, not internal codes.
Catalog filters
Filters by attributes (size, color, etc.) are configured on the design/category side when the option is activated inConfiguration → Design. The filterable attributes are then chosen from the Categories screen (depending on your screen version).
ImportA CSV import can create categories automatically from the columns in the file.
Check the result in Categories after synchronization.
