Configuration

All store operation settings: identity, sales method, taxation, payments, delivery, quotes, emails, design.

How is the screen organized?

1. OpenTools → Configuration.
2. On the left, choose a theme (General, Country & taxation, Payment…).
3. If the theme has subpages, they appear just below.
4. Edit the fields, then clickSave.

As soon as a field changes, an “unsaved changes” indicator appears: save before exiting.

Recommended order

1. General → Your account— license + legal identity.
2. General → Catalog— sale, quote, or both.
3. Activity— physical products or not (shipping).
4. Country & taxation— country, currency, VAT.
5. PaymentThenShippingif you sell physical goods.
6. Estimateif you accept custom requests.
7. Then: languages, emails, marketing, design, AI.

General

Your account

Legal identity of the store +Torlann license. This information feeds PDF invoices and quotes.

• License activation/status (seeInstallation & license).
• Company name, address, telephone, e-mail.
• Logo (PNG/JPG recommended).
• SIRET (assisted filling possible in France), VAT number, legal form, RCS.
• Invoice/quotation prefixes, PDF footer mentions.

Catalog (method of sale)

Activity

The option« Je vends des produits physiques »activates the tabShipping. Deactivate it for services without delivery.

Commandes (réglages)

SubpageGeneral → Commands : behaviors related to orders, invoices, activation ofreturnset délai après paiement. Le suivi opérationnel se fait dansSales → Orders.

Languages ​​& translations

InGénéral → Langues, indiquez les langues proposées aux visiteurs. WithPolylang, product sheets can be linked between languages.

A multilingual store does not transform Torlann into a multi-country platform: you stay on amain market(a currency, taxation, suitable carriers).

Policies

T&Cs, confidentiality, legal notices... to be linked to the pages of the site and the purchasing process.

Country & taxation

Choose itstore country. Torlann adapts currency, standard VAT, display of prices, documents and carriers offered.

• Sales area— main country/market.
• Price & taxes— rate, including VAT/HT, franchise based on VAT.
• Options— display preferences and special cases.

Example France : Euro (€), VAT 20%, prices including tax, FR carriers.

Changing the country updates the associated business settings to remain consistent. Torlann is not designed to manage multiple complex taxes/currencies simultaneously.

Payment

Visible if catalog mode allows online sales. Activate only the means that you actually offer.

• Map (Stripe)— public/secret keys, webhook indicated on the screen, Apple Pay via Stripe once the card is configured.
• PayPal— merchant identifiers.
• Payment— IBAN / BIC and instructions displayed to the customer.
• Options— default method and payment preferences.

Shipping

Visible if you sellphysical productsand that the mode is not “quote only”.

General

• Enable/disable delivery.
• Thresholdfree delivery(basket amount).

Carriers

Add delivery lines tailored to your country:

• carrier and service (home, relay, etc.);
• wording displayed to the customer;
• amount, min/max delays;
• zone (usually the country of the store);
• possiblyweight levels— the product weight (kg) is then used.

Without weight entered on a product, the calculation can use a default value (1 kg). Seeproduct sheet.

Estimate

Visible if catalog mode includes quotes.

• Module— activation, public form page.
• Form— fields, labels, overview.
• Reminders & statuses— life cycle and automatic restarts.

Requests are processed inSales → Quote.

Emails

• Sender— name and shipping address displayed to the customer, plus the address that receives administrator notifications (orders, quotes).
• Models— automatic emails (order confirmation, etc.), block editors, section order, scenarios likeabandoned cartsif enabled.

Torlann acceptsany shipping address(Gmail, Outlook, etc.) and optimizes deliverability automatically: no SMTP plugin to install. Customer responses arrive at the contact address provided in your account.

The default texts follow the main language of the store. Personalize them before opening to the public.

Marketing

• Reinsurance blocks on the showcase.
• Shortcuts topromo codes(also managed in Catalog → Discounts).

Design

• Overview— styles/presets, global colors.
• Categories— list/grid presentation, filters by attributes.
• Product sheet— layout, gallery (e.g. packshots / object-fit adjustment).
• Typography— store fonts.
• Advanced CSS— overloads for advanced users.

AI setup

The Torlann AI isoptional : the store works without an API key. It feeds theCo-pilot(spark button) and help with writing product sheets.

Co-pilot Torlann

Available on almost all back office screens (buttonspark, top bar). You can:

• ask questions about how Torlann works and navigation;
• followguided tourson certain screens (products, discounts, assistant, etc.);
• get answerslocally(integrated knowledge base) or via a remote model if an API key is configured.

Without a personal key, amessage quotamay apply (demo or local mode). The co-pilot completes the human support ontorlann.com— it does not replace it. Detailed guide:Co-pilot and contextual help.

API keys and providers

InConfiguration → AI, you can connect a provider (OpenAI / ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, depending on plugin options):

• paste the API key provided by the chosen service;
• activate writing assistance on product sheets if you wish;
• requests go to the provider — check their conditions and billing on the API account side.

Product writing

On a product sheet, AI can suggest titles, short or long descriptions, respecting the context of your store (country, currency, sales/quotation method). Always proofread before publishing — you remain responsible for the content posted.
